Parental Involvement

Parental involvement is vital to us.  We regularly invite parents into Early Years on special INSPIRE sessions and Relatives Days.  These sessions give parents a chance to see what their child has been learning in school and also time to talk to the adults working with their child.

Each child will be given a key worker who will be responsible for building a secure relationship with child and parent.

Every day we hold family sharing sessions where parents can stay with their child for ten minutes at the beginning of the session to practice writing their name and complete other tasks based around their learning in school.

We ask parents to contribute to our planning by sending home letters to complete, asking what their child wants to learn about a new topic.  If we know what your child enjoys we can plan our activities around their interests.

Home-school targets are sent home so parents can work on their child's 'next steps' in learning as well as practitioners in school.  When children have completed their target it will be displayed in school and a new one will be sent home.
