PE Days

Our timetabled PE days are  Tuesday for Outdoor PE and Wednesday for indoor. However, please try to ensure that your child’s PE kit is in school every day as these days can be subject to change at short notice.

Reading - Children are sent home with a reading book daily. We ask that parents and carers read regularly (ideally daily) with their children. If you read with your child at home please place a note in your child's reading record so they can be rewarded accordingly. Some children may be sent home with additional phonics work when appropriate.

Spelling List - A weekly spelling list of ten spellings is sent home on a Monday, children will learn these spellings in school and are expected to practise these at home.

SeeSaw Spellings - A online spelling activity (linked to the weekly spelling list) is set each Monday. These tasks are due to be completed for the following Monday. These activities often follow a similar format to those taught in the classroom. This is to allow children to complete these independently.

Handwriting - Handwriting homework is sent home on a Thursday to be completed before the following Thursday.

If you have any queries regarding your child's homework or if there is a reason why your child has been unable to complete their homework, please speak with their class teacher in the first instances who will be able to advise and support.
