PE Days
Our timetabled PE days are Monday for indoor and Friday for outdoor. However, please ensure that your child’s PE kit is in school every day as these days can be subject to change at short notice.
Homework
-
Homework will be sent home each Thursday and is due back on Monday.
-
Each child will receive a homework sheet in their homework book containing:
-
Spellings: 10 words taken either from the previous week’s learning or from the previous year groups common exception words spelling list, to help consolidate and secure previously taught skills.
-
Arithmetic practice: A short section focused on prior learning, designed to strengthen and reinforce key calculation skills.
-
This approach ensures children are regularly revisiting and consolidating essential knowledge, helping them to build confidence, fluency and independence over time.
Reading - Children are sent home with a reading book daily. We ask that parents and carers read regularly (ideally daily) with their children. When you read with your child at home, please place a note in your child's reading record so they can be rewarded accordingly
If you have any queries regarding your child's homework or if there is a reason why your child has been unable to complete their homework, please speak with their class teacher in the first instances who will be able to advise and support.
